Walnut harvest in Tehama County takes place in the fall, usually running
from late September to early November.
The walnuts are mechanically shaken off the tree, blown into rows,
picked up and then brought to our walnut huller where they are washed,
hulled, sorted and dried.
The walnuts are then sent to our processing plant to be sized, sorted,
some bleached, fumigated, sorted again and then bagged.
California Walnut Company then bags premium walnuts in 50 pound or
25 kilo bags and ships directly to our customers.
California Walnut Company is committed to bring our growers premium
service and our buyers premium walnuts.
